Summer 2026
Happy Fair Week to all who celebrate! Here is a summer update from KGMV.

Gardens are full of food and buzzing with pollinators. This month we are replanting many garden beds for late season harvests.
My greatest joy in crafting the business right now is the freedom to grow that comes with being fully staffed. Last year I celebrated KGMV shifting from “me” to “we” when Rosemary joined. This year, with a new baby, I had no choice but to staff up some more in order to keep KGMV open.
Thankfully, that is working. We are now a company of 6+ gardeners (!!) operating as a team. I get such a thrill each time someone does a job better than I would have done, teaches me something new, or goes above and beyond to solve a client’s problem.
I go to work surrounded by a crew of skillful, caring people every day. I can design our schedule with enough coverage to give every garden what it needs, regardless of whose kid is home sick or how much rain we got. We’ve also been able to expand service offerings with a fruit program and custom carpentry projects well beyond my own ability.

As we approach the end of this year’s Planting Season, I’m beginning to chart our course for 2027. Here is where we are:
As a team, we have have built up the system of resources it takes to give professionally managed vegetables, herbs, and organically grown fruit the attention they require. All while providing excellent service and creating a healthy workplace, scrappy as it may be for now. It helps we get to work in beautiful gardens growing food for clients we admire and enjoy spending time with.
KGMV’s Preparation Season calendar is open with room to take on a few more gardens beginning in October. Please get in touch if you are looking for help with setup projects or interested in signing up for Garden Care. Now is the best time to connect about how we can best support you next year.
